BOTOX: A world-renowned augmentation treatment

BOTOX® is a popular aesthetic augmentation treatment in Dubai. This advanced treatment is designed to reduce crow’s feet, facial creases, frown lines, and other signs of aging. BOTOX® is derived from a decontaminated form of Botulinum toxin type A. The usage aims certain areas to prevent muscles from contracting, which causes wrinkles to appear. The Botox treatment is injected into the designated area with a very fine needle, and a pain numbing mediator can be applied to reduce discomfort during the procedure, although there is only a very little pain involved. The Botox treatment usually allows fast recovery; therefore, patients are immediately able to resume normal daily activities. Results from BOTOX® treatments in Dubai could last until 4 to 6 months, and can be maintained with follow-up treatments at the Montreal International Clinic.

BOTOX® treatments can also be used to decrease excessive sweating in particular areas of the body. Most individuals start Botox treatments in their early 30s, to reduce the appearance or formation of wrinkles and prevent new wrinkles from appearing on visible skin. Botox treatments are not only used as a cosmetic treatment but also as a medical treatment to improve chronic migraine headaches and severe excessive sweating.

The best Botox treatment areas are,

  • Crow's feet
  • Forehead
  • Area between the eyebrows
  • Armpits and palms to treat excessive sweating
  • Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Injectable dermal fillers can help decrease the signs of aging and add volume and new additions to facial features. With popular injectable dermal filler options, such as JUVÉDERM®, Radiesse®, Restylane®, and Belotero, our experienced dermatologists at Montreal International Clinic, can fill in deep wrinkles, renew contours in the lips, smooth out lines and creases between the nose, mouth, cheeks, and other areas and smooth out dark patches and hollowness around the eyes, resulting in youthful radiance.

Most dermal fillers that are used are composed of hyaluronic acid, an element that occurs naturally in the human body. The dermal filler treatment is administered by injecting into the areas targeted for rejuvenation. Local anaesthetics are commonly used to the selected area to make the patient as comfortable as possible during the procedure. The dermal fillers being used in our Clinic has long lasting effects, and can last from 6 months to 2 years, with occasional touch-up treatments.

Most individuals use dermal fillers as it has the ability to achieve the following for a flawless face and rejuvenating skin,

1How does BOTOX® ® work?
BOTOX® targets one of the original causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Your doctor will carefully inject these muscles with BOTOX® to momentarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your frown lines and crow’s feet lines between your brows.
2Will BOTOX® ® make me look stiff?
BOTOX® is a ground breaking technique and a very sensitive cosmetic treatment. You will not lose the ability to show facial expression when you are treated by a doctor who is medically licensed, highly trained, and a medical expert in facial anatomy. It is important to talk to your doctor about the results you want from the cosmetic treatment.
3Is BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment painful?
Several of our patients stated that being injected with BOTOX ® felt like a pinch. Your doctor may use ice to numb the treatment area. If you are worried about discomfort, your doctor may apply a topical numbing cream before the procedure begins.
4What were the common side effects?

The most common side effects that have been identified by patients are, drooping of eyelids and some mild eyelid swelling. Other possible side effects were noted in patients: dry mouth, discomfort or mild pain at the treatment area, headaches, tiredness, pain in the neck, some eye problems such as double vision, blurred vision, dry eyes, decreased eye sight and allergic reactions.

These are not all of the possible serious side effects of BOTOX® treatment. Please read through the Important Safety Information provided to you by your doctor and never fail to mention any drug allergies before procedure.

5How long does the treatment take?
Your doctor will discuss your treatment goals and execute a facial analysis to decide the suitable treatments for you. The actual injection procedure takes less than 15 minutes.
6Who can perform BOTOX® ?
BOTOX® is classified as a prescription drug. It is administered by a physician or a designee (e.g. nurse, physician assistant, aesthetician)
7Will one BOTOX® treatment be enough?
One treatment will offer you with a more youthful and intact appearance. However for longer lasting results, it is suggested by our experts that an average of three BOTOX® treatments will show a significant long-lasting improvement. Consistent touch-ups every four to six months are recommended to keep an intact youthful appearance last longer.
8What happens as treatment begins to wear off?
As the BOTOX® treatment wears off, the creases will begin to reappear but most often they are not as profound or noticeable. To maintain a charming, youthful appearance all year round, it requires three to four BOTOX® injections. The effects tend to last longer with repeated treatments, thus will require less injections with frequent visits.
9What can I expect during my BOTOX® appointment or consultation?
First our doctors need to determine where to administer the injections and how much BOTOX® injections to use by inspecting your capacity to move certain muscles in your face or neck. Based on the location, size, and use of the muscles that create lines or wrinkles varies from person to person. You will then receive your quotation based on the analysis and discussion, followed by our experts answering all and any questions you have.
10Who should not use BOTOX ® treatment?
BOTOX® treatment should not be used in any individual with a presence of infection at the selected area of treatment, and also individuals with known hypersensitivity to any element in the formula. We do not recommend patients diagnosed with ALS, lambert-Eaton syndrome or myasthenia gravis to proceed with the treatment due to serious side effects.
